SOME BACKSTORY

I’m a writer, producer, podcaster and mentor.

I began my career with coaching and managerial roles in retail and banking, before changing direction in 2006, when I joined The MGL Media Production Company. As part of a small team, I gained experience across all areas of production - working as a sound recordist, producer/director and editor. My existing writing experience meant moving in to scriptwriting was a natural fit.

After 19 years’ within corporate and commercial communications, I’m able to bring value to any aspect of the production process. My focus is always on content, ensuring contributors and interviewees are at ease and details aren’t missed.

As part of Spoon Jar Films, I’ve written and produced several award-winning films, including the feature-length documentary, NO FARE: The Sian Green Story and INKLING, a short drama which was an official selection at the International HorrorHound Film Festival in Ohio.

Several of my short stories have been published in anthologies and my debut novel, Safe Hands, was released in 2023, with internationally best-selling author, SJ Watson describing it as “. . . a thrilling crime debut.”

Since 2014, I’ve hosted The Joined Up Writing Podcast, where I interview successful authors about their books, writing and journeys to publication. I’m a mentor and produce educational content for writers and creatives.
